Check the actual mm length and width dimensions (noted on the diamond certificate) of the Pear shaped diamond not just the carat weight. A well cut 0.9ct Pear shaped diamond will have better dimensions, and look bigger, than many 1ct Pear shaped diamonds. This helps to maximize visual impact and reduce the cost.
